Smart lighting takes this further by controlling lights in groups and allowing you to set various lighting "scenes" (combinations of light level) within a room. Transitions between these scenes can be at predetermined speeds and even programmed to occur at specific times.

There are a number of ways to Control the Lighting in your house, and after considerable search we have settled for the iCan system. iLight are a British based company and therefore architecturally all their products are up to UK standards, so you don’t need special encasements. The iCan lighting system can cover anything from four channels of light within a single room to complete control of a very large building. iCan is not a DIY product and like all mains electrical devices must be installed by a competent and certified electrician .

iLight keypads are available in a vast range of styles, colours and button configurations; in single or double-gang sizes.With our abiliy to customize almost any face plate style the choice is limitless.

The iCan light control units are available in 4 or 12 channel blocks with various options in terms of maximum current draw and load type. The control units can be linked in multiples and the keypads are wired together in a "daisy chain" format back to the lighting controllers.

Other options offer the mains switching, when integrated into a whole house system, we are able to offer sufficticated power management and integration with wirless audio visual controllers.

Once wired, system commissioning is accomplished by plugging a computer into any one of the keypads. Individual lighting channels are then assigned to the various keypads around the building and the pre-set lighting scenes can then be set and saved.
